About the registry

An independent registry of board-certified surgeons, built for men.

NYC Beauty Surgeon is an editorial directory, not a medical practice, and it is written for one reader: the man considering a procedure in New York. We research the board-certified surgeons and physicians of Manhattan, from plastic surgery to hair restoration, using official public records, explain the procedures men ask about in plain language, and keep the entire index free of paid placements.

What this site is

A directory that answers to readers, not to surgeons.

Choosing a plastic surgeon in New York means navigating one of the most aggressively marketed medical fields in the world. Rankings can be bought, reviews can be manufactured, and the title cosmetic surgeon can be used by almost any physician, with or without surgical training. For men it is harder still: most of what is written about these procedures assumes a female patient. The information a man actually needs, who is board certified, who holds hospital privileges, what a procedure honestly costs and demands of a male body, is scattered and rarely in one place.

This site puts it in one place. Every surgeon in the registry is board certified and verified against an official source. Every procedure guide is written for men to the same standard: honest Manhattan cost ranges, realistic recovery timelines, the risks named plainly, and a framework for choosing among qualified surgeons. The reader is the only customer.

How it is built

Official records in, marketing out.

The method is deliberately boring: public, official, verifiable sources, checked before publication, corrected on request. The full inclusion bar lives on the standards page.

Read the standards
01

Compiled from official sources

Every listing starts at the source: hospital and academic faculty profiles, official practice pages, and certification board records. Nothing is taken from a surgeon's advertising, and no surgeon submits their own listing.

02

Verified before publication

A surgeon appears only after their board certification and New York hospital affiliation are confirmed against an official page we can cite. If a credential cannot be verified at the source, the listing does not run.

03

Reviewed, corrected, and removable

The registry is reviewed on an ongoing basis. Surgeons, their staff, or patients can request a correction or removal at any time by writing to info@nycbeautysurgeon.com, and every request is honored promptly.

The lines we hold

Five things this site will never do.

Independence is only worth something if it is enforced. These commitments are permanent, and if you ever catch the site breaking one of them, we want to hear about it.

01

No paid placements

We never accept payment for inclusion, position, or praise; there are no sponsored listings anywhere on this site.

02

No invented reviews

We never invent reviews, testimonials, or rankings; where order matters, it is editorial and stated as such.

03

No before and after photos

We never publish before and after photographs; unretouched, matched results belong in a consultation room.

04

No medical advice

Every guide is educational, and every decision belongs with you and a physician who has examined you.

05

No claimed affiliation

We are independent of every surgeon, hospital, and practice listed, and we say so on every page.

Corrections and inquiries

Listed here and something is wrong? Tell us.

Profiles are compiled from public sources, and public sources drift. If you are a surgeon or practice named in the registry and anything is inaccurate, or you prefer not to be listed, one email resolves it.
